S03 Connecting Employee Stories to Your Company Strategic story (1hr)

Your people can successfully join and commit to your company when they see themselves adopting your tribal legacy and values. Your tribal legacy is all the heart, the effort in the advancing of what you and your organization have already done, up to the point of any new member coming on board. That is, your company’s shared purpose becomes theirs. To do that, they need to belong and believe in your organization, so they want to be accountable. That happens when their stories and company story come together.
In this session, you’ll learn an exercise to help you bring your invited new employees into your legacy for good alignment and then anchor them in their strengths to get to your promised land. (This can also be used to help bring people back that might’ve lost a bit of their zeal for the mission.) You’ll increase your organization’s ability to sustain an environment that fosters both belonging and belief in your shared purpose. These two elements are key for internally motivated and increased accountability. When people belong, believe, and are accountable, great things happen.
Up to 24 people for Zoom Conversessions, 36 for in-person
We'll use a mildly unconventional, yet more engaging design theory exercise to:
Document the history of the world from the perspective of your company’s shared purpose
Create a context for your employees, old and new, to see how they contribute, provide value and fit as individuals into your company’s purpose
Share individual histories to increase connection and mutual perspectives of each other’s strengths
Increase your employees’ commitment to your company’s promised land
Employees will create a context to see how they fit (and so will you)
Leaders and managers will get deeper insights and empathy into their employee’s backgrounds and strengths in relation to the company’s shared purpose
Up to 36 people in person, 24 over Zoom
